ONE DANGEROUS MISTAKE MOST SINGLES MAKE

One Dangerous Mistake Most Singles Make

One fatal mistake to make prior marriage is to know that your intended is not faithful and you still insist that you love her/him just like that. It’s an indication that you don’t know what love is or that you are also unfaithful.

Faithfulness is a virtue which must be present in every relationships. Banks fails today due to unfaithful practices among staff or BOT. Military groups are ambushed due to unfaithfulness of a soldier or some groups among the military commands. Marriages are failing due to one or both spouses decided to be unfaithful. Love is meaningless when faithfulness is not a daily practice.

I write this to you today because I don’t want you to be a victim of bad relationship/marriage. The subject of faithfulness cannot be ignored no matter the intention. You can’t love someone and still cheat or steal from such.

You are stealing peace away from your partner when you are pregnant for someone else and still pin it on him because he has total love for you. Mama, you are a thief, if he is deceived into fathering another man’s child.

You are stealing peace away from your partner when you are sexually reckless, got STD, treated it but your “rod” performance has been injured, yet you make her belief that you are still a virgin.

You got to be sincere with your relationship, not just for today’s benefit but for the future. Your proclaimed love should not make you blind to facts that would negatively affect your marital future. The future of your marriage is more important than the romance you are having now. Marriage is futuristic therefore you must make good and wise decisions you won't regret.

Brother Philip and our dear Sister Lizzy, are you sure you have found a faithful partner? Have you found a Sis who you can handover your ATM card to, with the PIN and she would not spend recklessly? Have you found a brother who would still be faithful to you even when you are pregnant? Would he not be part of those husbands who use their wife’s pregnancy to sleep around? If doctor advice that you totally stay away from sex because of your health during pregnancy, would your husband be able to do without sex for that long?

Are you sure this your Sis Lizzy is going to be a faithful wife? Have you really checked this out? Have you used money to test her? Does she give you change for what you gave her money to buy? Does price of commodity change each time she is the one that went to buy them? I heard you gave her #15,000 for her departmental field trip, sir, was that actually the cost of the trip? You may feel cool about her lying to collect money from you because your goal is to impress her. Yea, that's what a lot of Brothers do. They are out to impress, so when they see what to correct or check, they look the other way because they don't want to offend her. But Brother Philip, will you feel cool later when you realized that she inflated your children’s school fees?

Sis Lizzy, all those ladies he calls his sisters, niece, course mate etc. are they truly who he says they are? Are you sure you are only the one in his life?

A guy that is not faithful will be full of lies because he needs more lies to cover up his unfaithfulness. Don’t be fooled. Don’t allow anybody to call ash color white for you. Don’t allow desperation, sentiment and pride make your turn blind eyes to warning signs.

You should be sensitive, ask questions, open your eyes, read between the lines, investigate his or her claim to be faithful, don’t be blind to his/her lies and unfaithfulness. Don’t just hear what he or she says, hear how it’s said.

A reason why lovers claim love is blind is because they intentionally turned away when God was showing them what they needed to see. They failed to examine such logically; rather they choose to see it emotionally.

Anybody you choose to marry must be faithful both relationship and financial wise. You must be able to trust her with your life and the resources of your life. She must be a godly sister that will not keep two relationship at the same time. He must be a godly brother that will not keep to brothers at the same time.

When it comes to investing your money, you do due diligence, making sure that you won't loose your money to fraudulent investment, but why can't we do same to our hearts. A stranger cannot walk up to you and ask you to investment the whole of your life's resources into his business and you will do so same day. But a total stranger walks up to us during a party, professing to love us, and we compile instantly. Is this wise? Why invest your heart into a relationship you have not found to be faithful?

Don’t be in a relationship with a person who you are servicing as an “extra-tyre”. This is not a Christian practice, and it is a sign that such person has not allowed the Holy Spirit to work in his or her life and the Holy Spirit has not been allowed to mortify the works of the flesh in such fellow.

For you to have access to the true content of his or her life you need the Holy Spirit. He will help you to discern and rightly divide the Word of Truth in the face of chronic deceit, falsehood and unfaithfulness. The Holy Spirit is the revealer of deep things. It's time He is resident in your life. You have done enough going to consult people who have Him, have Him to yourself if you must life a victorious Christian life.

Grow in your work with God so that you can get to the realm where you cannot be manipulated again with dreams, visions and prophesies.

UNDERSTANDING RESPECT IN MARRIAGE

Understanding Respect In Marriage

The number one thing a man want in marriage is not sex but respect. No matter your qualification, beauty, how fluent your spoken English is, without honoring your husband by referencing and respecting him you will soon loose value in his sight.

“Better to dwell in a corner of a house top, than with a brawling woman in a wide home” (Prov. 21:9).

“Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord. Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God. Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord. (Ephesians 5:19-22).

Mutual respect is a very strong pillar in the school of marital success. Many women respect and honour their husbands, but men on the other hands, are fond of disrespecting and disregarding their wives.

Recently, a couple came to our office for counselling, as the wife was about talking, the husband said; “Shut up! What do you know? You ordinary NCE holder. Did I not bring you from your village to the limelight of this city? When responsible and knowledgeable people are talking, please close your dirty mouth”. Can you imagine that insult?

In another case, a man was in a social gathering when his wife came to join him putting on dark glasses. He went straight to her in the presence of everybody and said “woman, always use your sense whenever you are dressing and stop putting on glasses that make you look like a blind woman”. The wife was so shocked and embarrassed that she looked like somebody whose garment has been removed in the market place.

Respect is needed from both husband and wife. Its absence affects marriage from the root because it removes restraints and allows familiarity that breeds insult and contempt.

The Bible did not say only the wife should submit to her husband, the bible said both should submit to one another.

It's time for husbands to respect their wives!

“Remember to the last, that where there is life, there is hope.”
When the bus overturned, Tiya crashed into a window and blacked out.  When she finally awoke a few minutes later, she was lying on the grass and some paramedics where by her side.
“Are you okay?” A man asked her when he noticed she was awake.
“Yes.” Though her head hurt like hell.
She looked around her they were people who were severely injured and some looked dead. As she sat upright she touched the right side of her face and felt a warm liquid like water but when she took her hand away she saw blood between her fingers.
The paramedics led her to an ambulance even when she told them she was perfectly fine. She didn’t want to be taken to the hospital because she was scared of Ivy and her father.
“We need to take you to the hospital so you can be examined, it’s even a mystery that you got out alive and barely inured, a lot of people have lost their lives and most of them are badly injured.”
“It’s the work of God,’ she mumbled under her breath.
Once on the ambulance, one of the paramedics asked Tiya for the contact details of her guardians so they could call and inform them about the accident, she gave them Ganizani’s number.
When they reached the hospital, she was examined and put on bed rest. They must have given her some sleeping pills because the minute she lay on that hospital bed, she fell into a deep slumber.
When she woke up, she looked around her and found her siblings sleeping on her hospital room, closing her eyes she took a deep breath and tried to piece together the events of the previous day. Everything had happened so fast, for a moment there she thought she had died.
Finally she cleared her throat, waking up her siblings. Thoko was the first to open her eyes.
 “Tiya,’ Thoko squealed with excitement.
“Oh Tiya,” Ganizani said tears flooding his eyes he couldn’t believe his sister was alive and back to them.
“Water,” she said, her voice was raspy.
Thoko grabbed a cup of water from the table and held it out to her straw first Tiya took two swallows and slumped back to the bed.
“I thought I would never see you guys again,’ Tiya said as tears streamed down her cheeks. “Thank you Jesus for bringing me back home to my siblings.”
“What happened to you? Where did you go?” Thoko asked
“It’s a long story but let’s just say that God has been faithful.”
“Amen.”
Shortly after Celine walked into the room, she had some plastics in her hands, the moment Tiya saw her, she began to scream, “Daughter of an evil woman, don’t come near me,” she screamed.
“Tiya calm down,” Ganizani said
“Auntie Stella is an evil woman.”
“I know my mother is an evil woman, I am not here to harm you but to help.”
“I don’t need your help.”
“Tiya, she has changed, she is on our side.”
Tiya kept quiet.
The doctors later examined her and declared that she was fit to go home. Celine drove them to her father’s house though her father was not yet back from his trip.
*****
When the pastor finally arrived, he started preaching the word of God, he preached and preached for a long time before he asked Ivy to kneel down, at first she was hesitant but eventually she knelt down.
As soon as he started praying, she was knocked down by the spirit of God and she fell flat, she tried to stand up but to no avail, the people who had been sent to help her stood at the door, they couldn’t enter because of the power of God that was in the room.
The pastor prayed for what seemed like forever, all of a sudden Ivy started to cough violently. She coughed until she started throwing up. Just when she thought she had finished, she felt like something exploded in her, she opened her mouth again and started vomiting, this time there was a lot coming out, it was getting hard for her to breath.
Meanwhile the pastor and everyone in the room continued to pray without ceasing. Ivy felt more stuff coming out she continued to throw up uncontrollably with no end in sight.
A few minutes later, she was done she fell down on her own vomit and collapsed.
“Praise the lord!” The pastor exclaimed, “It is done.”
****
The only thing Mr. Bwalya could see was fire, there was fire everywhere engulfing the whole place, filling the air with pillars of thick dark smoke. There were screams all around him, agonizing screams from his members who were obviously wounded, he felt sick and hurt his entire body was in pain.
He wanted to scream and plead but he knew that none of this would help him in anyway. This was his end this was the end of the Black Arms family they had been defeated by a power greater than them.
Mr. Bwalya had sacrificed both his wives to the Black arms family and he had initiated his step daughter Ivy in bid to get richer.
He fell to his knees and curled himself in a ball as the heat of the fire caressed his skin as he felt his whole body heat up. Eventually he lay low and waited for his fate, he couldn’t fight this any more.
****
Twelve Months,
That’s how long it has been since I was delivered from the hands of the devil, the past year has been the best year of my life, I feel so free and light because God saved and restored my life in so many ways.
A few days after I was discharged from the hospital, Celine took me to her church where they prayed for me and I received Jesus as my lord and savior, I even got baptized a few months later.
I now have a relationship with God I have a deep sense of joy and fulfillment in my life. Even when things aren’t going my way, I have learnt to trust God, his ways are always perfect.
I had to go back to school and repeat my grade seven, I recently wrote my exams and I know I will make it because I have been studying real hard.
So Ken was discharged from the hospital, he is doing a whole lot better and he too has received Christ as his lord and savior, I am no longer in a relationship with him we are just friends. I have realized that I am too young to be the dating, there is a time for everything and this is the time for me to be serious with school.
My grandmother is doing perfectly fine now, my siblings and I moved in with Auntie Tina after , I must say life is a whole lot better here than it was at dad’s house.
****
Mr. Phiri
It’s been a year since I discovered I had married a fraud, I seriously loved Stella and I would have given her the world, I don’t even know what prompted her to get involved in Satanism.
As if that is not enough, she used me as part of her sacrifice and killed my sister.
If not for these people of God who intervened in this situation, my mother would have died too. My sister’s death haunts me I don’t think I will ever forgive myself for her death.
Now I am a lonely man, I am in this house all by myself I lost my job and children. My children despise me, they want nothing to do with me, I can’t blame I wasn’t a good father to them, I choose a stranger over them. I just hope someday they will find it in their hearts to forgive me.
***
Celine
I walk into my mother’s hospital room as usual she is curled up at the corner of the room.
“Hello,” I say placing my bag on the floor.
She looks up at me but says nothing, the woman sitting in this room doesn’t look anything like my mother, this woman looks dirty, her hair is unkempt and there are dark circles around her eyes.
As if that is not enough, saliva is dripping out of the corners of her mouth.
I still cannot believe my mother was capable of all those bad things, after she confessed of killing her husband’s sister, she was taken to the police, it was while in police custody that she lost her mind and they had to bring her to this mental asylum.
Now she doesn’t talk, all she does in stare into space and scream that they are coming for her, I feel sorry for her, she is still my mother after all but she made her bed and now she will have to lie in it.
My mother lost everything after the truth was revealed her businesses, houses and money, everything she obtained through satanic forces vanished into thin air.
I just hope she receives Christ as her lord and savior before it’s too late.
Life for me the past year has been quiet good, after rewriting the previous year I did really well and now I am in my first year in university, my father married his long time girlfriend and now they are pregnant with their first child.
“I will see you some other time mum,’ I grab my bag and walk out of the room. I visit her once in a while to check on her progress though she has been in the same condition from the time she was admitted.
***
Ivy
I can’t believe I went from riches to rags I lost my father in a strange fire which destroyed our house and so many valuable possessions. My life is miserable, I failed my grade seven exams again and because I had no one to take me in, I was taken to an orphanage this place is terrible.
I just want to die because I have nothing else to leave for, maybe if I had made better decisions like would a little easier for me. Right now I don’t even have any friends Harry dumped me after news of my involvement in Satanism went viral, now even the kids at the orphanage are scared of me.
It’s true what they say, what you sow you reap. Karma is really a bitch.
****
Ganizani
Sometimes in your life you will have seasons where you feel like nothing is working and everything is out of control, you will have frustrating days and you will want to give up but hold on because help is on the way, the darkest hour is always before dawn so just hold on.
If someone had told me that God would rescue my siblings and I from the hands of the devil. I swear I would not have believed, the past twelve months I have seen the goodness of God in my life.
My sisters are perfectly fine and they are happy, I am writing my final exams and I know I will make it; I just wanna excel and make my mother proud. I haven’t seen my father in a while not maybe someday I will be able to look him in the eye and call him dad again but for now, let me just say that life is good.

Chapter Forty Five

“You have the authority to stamp on serpents and scorpions and all over the power that the enemy possesses.”
****
Tiya really walked fast to the station, she couldn’t wait to get home, she wanted to be reunited with her siblings plus she didn’t want Ivy or her father to catch up with her, what she had endured in their house was hell, she could never wish such cruelty on another person not even her worst enemy.
She kept her head down and walked straight to the station. Thank God she reached it early.
The station was crowded with people and she was feeling very uncomfortable because everyone was watching her.
She wasn’t wearing any clothes but had a white bed sheet wrapped around her and she wasn’t wearing any shoes on her feet. Tiya didn’t even have any money for her bus fare but she would figure something out, one way or the other.
She stood at the station the bus was there though it wouldn’t be there longer it was almost full.  Shortly after, the bus left.
She looked around nervously one woman who was sitting on the bench caught her eye, she hadn’t noticed her before but now, she was light in complexion and had long hair with long legs that were crossed at the knee, her arm casually resting along the back of the bench.
When she looked up at her and they locked eyes, Tiya quickly lowered her head, embarrassed at being caught staring. There was something about the woman in question that made Tiya a little uncomfortable.
A few minutes later, there were more buses at the station as people were going in, Tiya waited, she waited until there were a few people at the station so she could ask for assistance.
‘Alo mwaiche iwe uyenda kuti?’ one of the conductors asked
Tiya cleared my throat, ‘Niyenda ku Avondale.’
He gestured towards the Avondale bus but Tiya didn’t move, she stood frozen in her spot. Then he asked why I wasn’t moving, I explained that I had no money but needed help to get home.
He burst out laughing and said ‘this is not an orphanage, you have to pay and it will show, no money no bus. Nga ulibe ndrama yenda che ma mendo mwaiche.’
Tiya asked for help from three more conductors but they responded so harshly, frustrated she turned ready to walk out but before that she glanced back at that women only to find her gaze focused on her.
The woman raised her hand and signaled for her to walk over to her, at first Tiya was hesitant but because she needed help to get home, she followed the strange woman.
 ‘Hello,’ the woman said
‘Hey.’
‘I have been watching you for a few minutes now, are you okay?’
Tears flooded her eyes, ‘I am not okay,’ she said
‘What is wrong?’
‘I want to go home but I don’t have any money on me.’
‘Where is home?’
‘Avondale.’
‘But where are you coming from? Where are your clothes and shoes?’ she asked with a voice filled with concern.
Tiya wiped her face with the palm of her hand, ‘I was attacked,’ she said
‘I see. I won’t ask you any further questions because I can see that you are traumatized.’
She opened her bag and removed a k 50 note and handed it to her, ‘Will this be enough for you to get home?’ she asked
‘Yes.’
‘Good.’
‘Thank you very much,’ Tiya got down on her knees besides the woman.
‘Please stand up and you are welcome.’
Tiya stood up, ‘I will be on my way thank you so much.’
She got onto the bus and found an empty seat at the back and hurriedly sat there, the woman next to her shot her a serious look she wasn’t so pleased about sitting next to Tiya.
In her mind she thought Tiya was a street kid.
As the bus started going her way Tiya closed her eyes and tried to keep her nerves calm, she was finally going home, ‘Lord let me get home safely,’ she said a silent prayer.
Some minutes into the drive, the driver suddenly saw a man dressed in black appear out of nowhere, terrified he slammed on the brakes and swerved to a stop, he turned the car around and started direction.
But the black man appeared again right in front of him, this time he lost control and went careening off the road, screams and cries where heard as the bus flipped over twice and landed right side up.
The black man stood next to the bus and laughed then he turned and faded into nothing.
*****
“Jesus!’ Ganizani screamed as he stared at the snakes, he turned his face and looked at Pastor Denise who apparently wasn’t concerned with the creatures around them.
‘Fear not,’ Pastor Denise said in a loud voice, ‘For God has not given anyone of you the spirit of fear but of power.’
All of a sudden, Celine heard a breathy sound like someone was sleeping, she turned her head and caught sight of a long huge snake the snake was bigger than all the snakes around.
The sight was so shocking she moved towards Ganizani and held him close.
‘I said fear not,’ the pastor said again. ‘And do not scream, be still and watch God do his thing.’
‘I will not fear, I am a conqueror,’ Celine tried to tell herself.
And just then the creature sprang upon her and bit her arm and she screamed in pain as the fangs pieced into her flesh. At her scream the snake pulled back and fell back to the floor.
Celine’s arm began throbbing with pain, then she felt hot and dizzy, everything around her began to spin and before she could realise what was going on, she fell to the ground with a loud thud.
‘Devil your time is up,’ she spoke in a calm but authoritative voice. Then she started praising God for his mercy and goodness.
It was like a battle field, as she was praying, the snakes were spitting fire.
‘Lord Jesus, I am calling out to you, I need you now more than ever, the enemy has formed weapons against your children we need your protection from the evil forces that rise up against us. Manifest your power Holy Spirit and let your name be glorified oh lord, move like never before,’ she said
The snakes which were trying to attack the other members were knocked down by the spirit of God and they fell flat, it wasn’t long before they transformed into human beings.
“Hallelujah!’ Pastor Denise said as we they stood up and praised God for his mighty power.
‘Why do you torment me Denise?’ the old man asked
‘You persecute God’s children.’
‘This is not over yet.’
He stood up and pointed at her, ‘Let the fire of darkness blind you,’ he said and suddenly flames of fire appeared in the room.
‘In the blood of Jesus I send back that fire to you.’
“Aw! The old man and his people including Stella started screaming in pain as they rolled on the ground.’
‘It is done,’ she said
When they finally stopped screaming, the members are bruises all over their bodies and their clothes were burnt.
****
“Hack! Hack! Hack!’ Mr. Phiri began to cough as his body shook violently. Pastor Denise and everyone else turned their attention to him.
She walked over to him and placed her hand on his head then she prayed for him, it wasn’t long after that that he opened his eyes. Confused, he looked around the room and gazed at the strange faces in his room.
‘What is going on?’ He asked in a soft voice. His body was in pain, he had no idea what had been going on with him.
“It’s a long story,’ the pastor said, ‘your wife and her colleagues will have to tell you about it before they leave.”
“Please!’ Stella pleaded with the pastor.
‘You must confess your sins and after that you will all give your life to Christ, it is done and sealed, victory is ours,’ she said.
****
After the loud screams there was total silence, Tiya didn’t understand what had just happened but for a minute there, she thought she was already dead.
All of a sudden, someone smashed the window next to where she was lying and reached in then pulled her out, her hands were shaking, when she was finally out, a lot of people rushed by to see what happened and to check if they were more survivors.
*****
Ken was sitting on the floor in his hospital room staring into space when he suddenly his stomach tightened and convulsed. There was also a rush of sensation and pain to his head and the room tilted.
He placed his hand on his stomach trying to understand what was going on when bile rose to his throat and his stomach forcefully emptied itself. His body convulsed as stream of vomit spewed on to the floor. His head pounded from the pressure and beads of sweat began to form on his forehead.
Just when he thought it was over, he started vomiting again, he vomited so hard that for a minute he thought he was gonna pass out.
“Are you okay?’ The doctor asked when she walked in and found him throwing up.
He shook his head.
After a few minutes later he stopped vomiting and instead of feeling sick, he felt a whole lot better, it was like a weight had been lifted off his shoulders.

“That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth.” Philippians 2:10
TIYAMIKE
I prayed for myself and I prayed for my family, I put my fate in God’s hands. I prayed long and hard with tears running down my face. I prayed for God’s help, I commanded him to intervene in my situation. I pleaded for his mercy and protection, I prayed for deliverance from evil.
By the time I finished praying I was exhausted, my voice was weak and I was crying so hard. As I tried to stand up, the room was suddenly flooded with a brilliant white light.
Confused, i looked around the room wondering what was going on, it was at that moment that i felt a gentle wind around me and a deep sense of love. As I tried to process what was happening, a warm breeze blew against me and I felt like someone was holding me.
As the presence of this unknown source enveloped me even stronger, I felt peace like never before. The kind of peace that swept through me is indescribable, I felt like all my problems were gone. It was like a weight had been lifted off my shoulders and I was free again.
A moment later, the door in the far right corner of the room suddenly swung open and Mr. Bwalya entered. From the look in his eyes I could see he was furious.
‘What have you done?’ he screamed
I didn’t respond, oddly I wasn’t even afraid of him or what he was gonna do.
He walked closer to me and tried to touch me but his hand couldn’t reach me, he moved even closer and tried to touch me again,  the light grew brighter and stronger then he started screaming out loud.
‘Fire! Fire!’ He screamed
I stood there and watched as he screamed in pain, then I felt a strong hold on my hand and I was led out of the room, into the living room then finally outside.
As I walked out, there was this path of light ahead of me. I followed the light till I was finally made it out. Taking a deep breath, tears rolled down my cheeks, I was free to go home.
This was a dream come true.
‘Thank you Jesus,’ I said before I started walking towards the station.
****
IVY
I was writing notes in class when all of a sudden I had severe fever, the heat that came out of my body was so high I felt like I was gonna faint, a minute later my body was on fire, sweat trickled down my face and I started crying.
‘Are you okay?’ My classmate Tamara asked
I opened my mouth to respond but no words came out.
She touched my arm and gasped in surprise, ‘Your face is turning red and your body is very hot, what’s happening to you?’ she worriedly asked.
The teacher wasn’t in class at that time. With her shirt, she wiped away some beads of sweat rolling from my head.
‘Someone please call Mrs. Kandeya,’ she loudly screamed out.
The heat rushed violently through every part of my body. I gasped for air and gulped in stale heat. I have never felt this vulnerable my whole life, what I felt I couldn’t even describe in words.
Shortly after Mrs. Kandeya and the deputy teacher rushed in, the heat became too much, I collapsed. The next thing I knew I was in the staff room and there were teachers surrounding me.
“Are you okay?’ Mrs. Kandeya asked
‘I want to go home.’
‘We can’t let you go home in this condition, your body is burning up,’ she said
‘I said I want to go home?’ I yelled much to everyone’s surprise.
‘I have been trying to call your father but his line is off.’
‘I stood up.’
‘We must take her to the hospital,’ the deputy head teacher said
‘No,’ I growled
My body was still burning up I had felt like someone had set it on fire. ‘I want to leave,’ I cried.
‘Calm down,’ the teacher said
I ran for the door but someone caught up with me before I could rush out.
‘This could be a spiritual problem, someone call Tr. Veronica.’
Tr. Veronica is the school pastor, she even the one in charge of scripture union at our school.
‘You are not going anywhere,’ Mrs. Kandeya tightened her grip on my arm.
‘I am doomed, wise one I desperately need your help,’ I said
*****
There was confusion in the Black Arms Family Mansion. Most of the members were gathered there when suddenly they smelled smoke and the walls of the mansion began spinning.
Some of the members screamed in horrible pain as the fire surrounded them.
‘Wise one oh wise one, what shall we do?’
The wise one instantly appeared and he laughed out loud, his laughter echoed around the room.
He blew out some air from his mouth and the fire ceased.
‘They have declared war, we have to fight back,’ he said his eyes blazing red.
‘You,’ he said pointing at a short black man who had been a member of the family for close to twenty years, ‘Organize your group and follow that girl make sure, she doesn’t get home kill her if you have to.’
‘Yes wise on.’
‘And you,’ he pointed to some other members, ‘you must go to Ivy’s school and rescue her.
Then he assigned some people to go to Ivy’s house so they could help her father.
‘As for me and the rest of you,’ he began, ‘We are heading over to Stella’s house, it’s about time I brought down Denise,’ he said.
****
STELLA
I pulled my car in the driveway and instantly stepped out, as I walked towards the door, I heard people singing and praying inside my house, that’s when I understood the wise one’s words.
‘Go and sort out the mess at your house,’ he has said
I shook my head and rushed into the house, I followed the voices and they led me to my room.
The minute I stepped into my bedroom, one of the women looked deeply into my eyes for a minute and I felt uncomfortable, I felt exposed it was as if she could see through me.
I extended my hand towards her so I could silence her but my hand couldn’t reach her.
‘Get behind me Satan,’ she said
‘Get out of my house,’ I screamed
‘In the mighty name of Jesus I command the evil spirit in you to let you lose,’ she said in a soft calm voice.
At the mention of the name Jesus, I heard a bang inside of me and I fell on the floor.
“May your name be glorified because you are God and you make all unknown things known,’ she said. Then she touched my head and began to pray in a language I couldn’t understand.
****
CELINE
I watched in horror as my mother began screaming on top of her lungs and thrashing, her screams were screams of pure terror as if a violation was happening.
“Leave me alone,’ she said as Pastor Denise touched her hand, her voice was rough and hoarse.
‘In the might name of Jesus I command you spirit of snake to leave,’ Pastor Denise said
“Ahhhhh,’ she screamed as she started wriggling like a snake.
‘You have no right to cast me out,’ she said
‘This is not your body this is not your house you must leave in Jesus name.’
My mother was acting strange, her voice kept changing I had no doubt she was possessed by demons. After praying for what seemed like an eternity, she slowly began vomiting something out.
Finally she puked it all out, it was a large snake.
‘Blood of Jesus Ganizani and I shouted in Unison.
After that she fell flat on her face and collapsed.
Just when we thought the worst was over, the floor started moving.
‘What is going on?’ I asked
‘The war is just beginning, we all need to stand our ground and pray like never before,’ Pastor Denise said.
She pointed towards the door my eyes widened at the realization of what she was talking about.
There were snakes everywhere.

Chapter forty three

****

I awoke to a tiny ball of glowing white light hovering in front of me. I was afraid but I couldn’t take my eyes off it, all of a sudden it started getting bigger and bigger until I was totally engulfed by the light.
A moment later, I saw my mother step through the wall into the room. She was wearing a white dress and her long hair fell loosely over her shoulders, she looked so radiant and young.
I froze for an instant unable to believe what I was seeing.
I closed my eyes for a moment then I opened them quickly and blinked rapidly. She was still standing there though she now had tears seeping down her cheeks.
‘Mother,’ I said softly, to my surprise my voice was audible enough.
‘When life gets tough and you feel like giving up, look up to your creator, he will be your strength,’ her words started ringing in my ears.
Before mother died, she taught us how to pray and how to read the Bible.
‘Life is not for the fainted hearted Tiyamike, some days will be tough so tough that you question the reason for your existence,’ she told me one time when she was sick.
‘But I want you to remember something,’ she had continued.
‘When life gets tough and you feel like giving up, look up to your creator, he will be your strength, God can never leave nor forsake you, when you call him, he will definitely come to you.’
These were the last words my mother said to me before she died.
‘You need to pray,’ she said
‘How?’
‘I taught you how to pray, pray Tiyamike pray,’ she said softly
‘Mother can I at least touch you even for a second?’ I asked
She shook her head but that didn’t stop me,
I extended my hand towards her so I could touch her but instead of grabbing her, my hand simply floated through her. I couldn’t understand why I couldn’t reach her even though she was right in front of me.
‘Please,’ I pleaded as I tried to touch her again but this time she moved back further until she was pressed against the wall.
‘Pray,’ she said again before she started to disappear before my eyes.
‘Mother!’ I shouted but my voice was no more than a whisper.
Finally she was gone.
“Lord Jesus I need you right now, I now you are able and I know you can please save me,’ I said
I don’t know what happened next but I somehow felt some warm energy spread through my body and the pot on my head broke spilling all its contents.
Then I managed to stand up.
Getting down on my knees I began to pray like never before, I wanted to be delivered from the chains of darkness, I wanted to leave this place.
****
‘Are you really sure about this?’ Ganizani asked
‘100 percent sure,’ I responded turning the key into the lock of mum’s bedroom. I had called Pastor Denise and told her about the problem at hand, she was on her way to the house.
‘What if your mother comes back? Won’t she be mad about this?’ he asked
‘I know my mother will be mad if she finds us but I have a feeling she won’t be coming back home soon, she went to see your grandmother at the hospital.’
The door finally opened, ‘We got the right key,’ I said excitedly.
‘I can see that,’ he said
We entered the bedroom and looked around, it was dark inside and all the shutters were closed.
“This room looks spooked,’ he said
‘I know,’ I responded turning on the light.
‘I wonder what your mother has been up to,’ he said glancing around.
‘I find it strange that your father is in this state and mum locks him up each time she goes out.’
There was a knock at the door several minutes later, we both left the room and went to see who it was. Pastor Denise and some of her church members were standing on the door step.
I opened the door wider and asked them in.
‘You are welcome woman of God,’ I said
She glanced around the living room in a strange way then she closed her eyes drew in a sharp breath and let it out slowly.
‘This house had a dark aura around it,’ she said in a loud voice
‘What do you mean?’ I asked
‘Where is your mother?’
‘She has gone out.’
‘Take me to the sick man,’ she said
I led them to my mother’s bedroom and the minute they walked into the room they all began to pray in loud voices. Ganizani and I joined in the prayers.
As we prayed, I started feeling rather queasy and i fell down with a thud. The room seemed to be spinning violently around me, I couldn’t focus on anything I felt very sick.
The spinning grew faster and faster and most of the church members were thrown onto the ground, Ganizani inclusive but Pastor Denise remained standing, she was walking from corner to corner praying in tongues with tears rolling down her face, I could hardly understand what was going on with her.
I clutched onto the ground desperately trying to find a way out or something that would stop the spinning.
‘Consume every evil and wickedness in this room with your fire dear lord,’ was the last thing I heard before the room became dark.
****
I parked my car in one of the free outpatient parking spot next to the doctor’s office building, grabbing my bag I walked through the main entrance & went straight up to my mother in law’s room.
She was lying on the hospital bed with an oxygen tube inserted around her nose. She looked so weak and pale, there were dark circles around her eyes plus her skin had become dark and dull.
There was no one else in the hospital room, I walked closer to her and touched her arm she opened her eyes slowly. She had a frightened look on her face.
‘Hello mother,’ I smiled
‘What do you want?’ she struggled to get the words out of her mouth. I could see she was in so much pain.
‘Aren’t you happy to see me?’ I asked feigning sadness.
‘Leave,’ she said
The door swung open at the very moment and Tina walked in.
‘Asisi,’ she smiled at me.
‘Hello sister.’
‘I didn’t think you were coming,’ she said
‘I wanted to surprise you.’
‘How thoughtful of you, how are the children?’
‘So so my sister, they are worried about their father and Tiya.’
‘Poor children.’
‘It shall be well.’
‘My brother is lucky to have you oh, some women would have left you are a strong woman.’
‘I love your brother,’ I said
‘I know.’
My mother in law clicked her tongue, I almost burst out laughing, even in her condition the evil woman just can’t humble herself she surely deserves to die.
‘I was just telling mum that I would like to pray for her,’ I said
I had applied the lotion on my hands and if I touched her stomach just once she would be dead in an hour or so.
‘That is fine with me,’ Tina responded
I placed my bag on the table and was about to touch her when I felt flames dancing on my skin, the flames sort of quickly spread through my body, my eyesight wavered and danced, I shook uncontrollably.
‘Are you okay?’ Tina asked, her hand touched my shoulder.
‘You are burning up do you have a fever?’ she asked
I quickly grabbed my bag, ‘I have to leave.’
‘Stella?
‘Later,’ I hurried out of the room like a mad woman. I got into my car and slammed the door shut.
‘You need to hurry home and clean the mess,’ he spoke
‘Aw!’ I screamed, I had not expected to find the wise one in my car. ‘You startled me,’ I said
His eyes blazed with fury, ‘You must go back home and sort that mess out,’ he said again.
‘Okay.’
He blew some air on me and I felt much better, I started the car and drove out of the hospital.

Chapter forty two

****
Light was streaming in around the edges of the dark curtains i slowly opened my eyes and looked around at my surroundings, trying to make sense of where i was, confusion raked through me when i realized i was lying in my bed.
I grabbed my phone to look at the time and it was 6: 30 confusion raked over me as I tried to recall the events of the previous day with much difficulty.  The last thing I remembered was preparing food for Ganizani and Thoko. I remembered getting angry and barging into mum’s room.
And then I remembered the strange old man holding mum’s forearms. How on earth did I lose track of time? It was 13 in the afternoon when all this transpired, how come it’s 6: 30 in the morning?
Have I been sleeping for more than 24 hours? Who brought me to bed? How did I sleep? For a minute I wondered if that had really happened but I could tell that it wasn’t a dream it seemed so real.
A million thoughts were circling my mind as I sat there.
‘There’s got to be a logical explanation to all this,’ I thought.
Soon the door creaked open and mum walked in, she held a tray in her hands with food in it. I gave her a questioning look there was something about her that kind of made me uncomfortable.
‘Morning darling,’ she placed the tray on the small stool next to my bed.
I didn’t respond.
“Are you alright?’ she asked as she sat on my bed
I began to speak but found my voice resistant to the effort and cleared my throat, pausing a moment to catch my confused bearings before I tried again.
‘Celine is anything the matter?’ she asked concern filling her voice.
‘What happened to your husband?’ I asked
Mum clasped her hands together a bit tighter, ‘He fell sick at work a few months ago,’ she said
‘Why haven’t you taken him to the hospital? Why are you keeping him in your room? What exactly is wrong with him?’ I asked
‘He was taken to the hospital and they ran some tests but we were told he is perfectly healthy.’
I laughed, ‘Does he look healthy to you? That man could be dead? Why haven’t you taken him for prayers?’
She shot me a deadly stare when I mentioned prayer.
‘I am just concerned,’ I shrugged
‘He is my husband and not yours,’ she said
I cleared my throat, ‘The old man in your room, you on the floor naked. Does that ring a bell?’
‘What old man? What are you talking about?’
‘Maybe I was just dreaming,’ I said, I didn’t want to argue with her over this.
‘I am sure.’
‘I took a deep breath, ‘You are a wicked woman mummy,’ I said
Her eyes widened, ‘I am wicked? How? Why? Where is this coming from?’ she stood up
‘Ganizani and Thoko need to start going to school again, you need to stop treating them like dogs in their father’s house. And Tiya has been missing for a long time now, have you been making follow ups on her case?’
Mum closed her eyes lightly turning her head completely the other direction, I could see she was fuming with anger.  A moment later she turned and looked at me. She took a deep and held it for a moment before she let it out.
‘Thank God you are my only child otherwise I would have killed you this very moment,’ she said in a deep voice I couldn’t recognize. Suddenly I felt a cold chill of fear sweep through me.
In my mind i began to panic, there was definitely something wrong with my mother.
‘I brought you breakfast darling, thought I could spoil you,’ she said with a smile playing on her lips.
‘Thanks,’ I said almost immediately.
‘I will be going to the hospital to see my mother in law, when I get back we can go out and do some shopping,’ she said
‘Okay.’
‘I love you,’ she leaned in and kissed my forehead.
I didn’t respond. I just felt this nagging at the pit of my stomach.
‘No I love you too mummy?’ she enquired
‘I love you,’ I said
She smiled, ‘See you later.’
‘Sure.’
She walked out of the door, as soon as the door was closed, I sighed feeling the anxiety of everything relentlessly tugging at my thoughts. Swinging my legs over the edge of the bed, my feet tapped the cold tiled floor sending a chill shudder through me.
Standing, I headed for the bathroom, I undressed and took a shower. After an exhilarating hot shower, I felt more awake and alive. I exited the bathroom and went back to my room.
Thirty minutes later, I was fully dressed, grabbing my purse I walked out of my room and walked straight to Ganizani’s room, I knocked and he asked me in instantly.
He was sitting on the bed with Tiya teaching her how to read I stood there for a minute and just envied their relationship, they have been through tough times but what amazes me is how they always have each other’s back.
‘Hey!’ I said
‘Tsup.’
‘Can we talk?’ I asked
‘Sure.’
We left Tiya in his room and walked out.
‘Would you mind telling me about what happened to your father?’ I asked
He cleared his throat, ‘My father’s illness is still a mystery,’ he began, ‘He fell ill at work, they took him to the hospital where the doctors ran some tests but couldn’t find anything wrong so they brought him back.’
‘That is really sad.’
‘Yes it is, I don’t even know why your mother keeps locking him up in her room, I wish she could take him to another hospital and seek their opinion or even to a man of God,’ he said.
‘I don’t think his case needs a doctor, that case must be spiritual,’ I responded.
‘You think so?’
‘Yes and I think I know who can help us.’
Unlike my mother, my father’s girlfriend is a deep woman of God, she is has been mentoring me spiritually the past few weeks, I even gave my life to Christ and I have been attending her church.
‘You do?’
‘Yes.’
Unlocking my phone, I dialed her number and she picked on the first ring.
‘Hey sweetheart,’ she answered happily
‘Hey there, how is the vacation going?’
‘Fine, how are you? How is your mum?’
‘She is okay, how is dad?’
‘He is fine.’
‘I have a little situation here.’
‘Shoot.’
‘My mother’s husband has been very ill for the past few months, he can’t talk neither can he walk,’ I said narrating his ordeal.
‘Oh that’s sad.’
‘Yes, a lot of strange things have been going on here, I just feel this whole place needs prayers.’
‘I will call Pastor Denise, she will be able to assist you,’ she said
‘I will really appreciate.’
‘I will give her a call just now then I will also send her your line so she can call you, I think she can come over if she is free so she can pray with you.’
‘Thank you very much.’
‘You are welcome baby.’
‘Say hi to dad and pinch him for me.’
‘I will.’
‘Later,’ I ended the call.
‘Let’s keep our fingers crossed, someone might come and help us.’
‘Will your mother agree?’
‘Will see what I can do.’
